To Sleep On Angel’s Wings

December 31st, 2008 No comments

This posting will probably never see the light of the day. But just so I can let it out of my chest, I’ll write this out anyway.

Today, I spoke to a friend. Decent chat. Long one too.

Truth be told, I haven’t spoke candidly to anyone for a long long time. It felt good. It felt like therapy. Maybe even better.

It renewed my faith in life in many ways than one. That no matter how dark times may seems, how low life may be – there is always someone out there who shares the same passion and beliefs as you do.

Frankly, I do not know how much of the things that we spoke of will come true – it doesn’t really matter – for in those moments of sharing, it’s the feeling of hopefulness that brings life to it.

Times are bad. The state of the world right now. The state of my business affairs right now. And the state of personal issues I have. I’m ending 2008 with nothing but dreams of a better future.

What will the future holds?

I don’t know for sure.

But what I know is this: be hopeful, focus on your dreams, be passionate and always believe that somewhere out there someone shares your hope, dreams and passion. And be honest. To your friends, clients and people that matters to you most.

This friend of mine showed me where to sleep on an angel’s wings tonight.

Corporate Blogging (outside in)

December 29th, 2008 No comments

Corporate blogging. The buzzword that (still) gets a lot of companies talking about.

Good tool for internal communications and even as a marketing tool. But let’s face it, none are all too candid. It’s like a elaborate staged reality show where the outside world gets to read mostly good stuffs while the really damaging stuffs are handled behind closed doors.

Nothing wrong really here. It’s what the world of communications is all about within the context of a brand or a company.

Anyway, I’m not about to go into the virtues of corporate blogging – but what about doing corporate or brand blogging by actually asking members of public to spend say a couple of weeks deep in the boiler room of a company or marketing department and actually blog about it?

A Symphony for YouTube

A Symphony for YouTube

A Symphony for YouTube

I used to date a girl who plays the viola in an orchestra. I enjoy seeing her practicing and going through auditions for selected performances. I dread the day when musicians starts to audition through their little webcams at home.

I guess that day has arrived.
